September Geese

Our early Goose season typically runs September 1 - September 25. Like many regions in the East, our resident Canada Goose population has skyrocketed! The hunts are done in grass, oats, or recently cut cornfields over high quality decoy spreads. The weather is mild, but some of the shoots are exceptional. Hunters are allowed a generous eight-bird bag limit.

Pulling up on decoying Canada Geese is always thrilling.  The birds are smart but can be "had" due to intelligent management of our private fields.

Many experienced shooters hunt with us regularly. Often our season in the Northeastern Zone open prior to other parts of New York State.  Sometimes they just want a well-scouted hunt somewhere away from home.
